HOW DOES THE VHKC WORK?

HOW WE GO RACING

SIX ROUND
CHAMPIONSHIP

Once every four weeks, we'll host a championship round, each at a different venue from the last.

The sixth round will be marked as the finale for the current season.

*Official schedule is yet to be released

CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT

  • Each Driver is afforded one drop round.

Each driver will have their lowest scoring round deducted from their total.

So it's ok to miss a round or have a bad race.

Earn Championship Points during each round.

Points are awarded to drivers based on the overall top 20 positions of each championship round.

  • Join at any point in the season.

Every driver will start in Division 2.

The results of their first two races will determine if it's necessary to place them in a higher or lower division.

The main championship in the VHKC is the Driver's Championship.

We host Division 1, Division 2 and a newly added Division 3, giving more drivers the chance to earn wins and silverware.

  • Race for more than just yourself!

Drivers can create a team of 2 to 3 drivers to compete across an entire season team championship.

*being part of a team is not mandatory.

Only a team of two? No worries!

To help them not fall behind, teams of 2 are awarded a handicap after each round, determined by their team's average earnings, multiplied by 0.66

  • Drivers Championship Prizes

The top three drivers in all divisions will be awarded Championship Trophies.

Furthermore, the top 3 Drivers in all Divisions at each round will be awarded medals.

    Team Championship

The top three teams at the end of the championship will be awarded championship trophies, and each team's drivers will receive championship medals.

Arrive at the venue with your ticket.

Approach a VHKC Admin to check-in. They will scan the QR code on your ticket to verify your entry.

You will then be given either a blue or orange armband to signify what division you are racing in.

EACH RACE EVENT

driving standards

Safety is paramount.

Safety and safe driving practices are of utmost importance to protect the health and well-being of drivers in the VHKC.

Dangerous driving behaviours and excessively aggressive driving will not be tolerated.
Prohibited behaviours include; purposely hitting other karts with excessive force, not adhering to venue safety procedures, and forcing other drivers off the track or into barriers.

Engaging in unsafe driving practices may result in a temporary or permanent suspension from the VHKC.

ticket prices

We aim to keep the cost of single-event driver tickets as low as possible.

About 90% of your ticket covers the cost of venue access and the karts. The other 10% helps keep the VHKC operating through its website fees, trophies, medals and other minor expenses.

Tickets are 100% refundable up until 7 days before the race, after which we will give you a voucher equal to the ticket if you can't make it.

If there’s an opportunity to lower ticket prices through partnerships or sponsorships, we will do so as early as possible.

driver tickets

Rubbing is racing - to a limit.

With safety in mind, we encourage hard-fought, clean racing amongst competitors.

Whilst on the track, you must always leave racing room for your fellow drivers.

We understand hard racing can sometimes lead to minor unintentional incidents. However, if a driver is noted to be at fault for an incident, regardless of their intentions, they will receive an incident point. Accumulating multiple incident points will see a driver incur penalties such as championship point deductions.
